“I may write in silence, but the words I write will always be heard.”-Marie Summers
When I read this quote my first thought was, “That is so true.” While you write poetry, you are silent, but when it's read I think that the meaning of poetry is always heard. It can mean something different for everyone, and that is one of the things I like about it. So that is what this quote and poetry in general means to me.

It also may lend an understanding to the motivation behind the composition of poetry. Emotions lie deep within us and poetry can be a good vessel of communication.
