Rip It Out!

Everyone in is this world has something to contribute.
Something to make our lives a little better.
Maybe it's a simple idea or opinion,
A thought that could change peoples' point of veiw,
Or maybe a talent that could brighten someones day.
Whatever it is;
Everyone has their own verse to write.

Some people are afraid,
"What if no one likes my idea, or agrees with my opinion?"
"What if my talent just isn't that great?"
"What if my verse isn't as amzing as the person standing next to me?"
Everyone thinks this at one point, and some can't get past it.
Some people are too afraid, to write their verse.

But just think;
If everyone could contribute just a bit,
If everyone would make a positive change,
Speak what's on their mind,
Voice their opinion.
If everyone would write their verse,
Imagine what this world could be.

What Poetry Means To Me,

When I read this quote my first thought was, “That is so true.” While you write poetry, you are silent, but when it's read I think that the meaning of poetry is always heard. It can mean something different for everyone, and that is one of the things I like about it. So that is what this quote and poetry in general means to me.
